Social Standard of the uvex group

uvex as one of the world´s leading companies in Personal Protective Equipment has incorporated legal and ethical business policies and practices since its foundation in 1926 in all operations. The uvex group expects the same commitment from all of our business partners. Our business claim “protecting people” is our obligation mainly for our customers but also especially for our own employees and the employees of our business partners. It is the policy of uvex to do business with those companies who observe and respect basic human rights and liberties in the operation of their business. Against this background the uvex group has developed a catalogue with 7 central requirements to be met by our business partners. The Social Standard of the uvex group is traced on the Conventions of the International Labour Organization ILO, which are basis of all notable social standards such as Social Accountability SA 8000.
