Real Active Listening (RAL) technology

RAL (Real Active Listening) is a smart, level‑dependent listening technology built into the uvex aXess one electronic earmuffs. It allows wearers to stay protected and remain aware of their environment. Hear your surroundings safely, without removing your hearing protection. It works by:

• Capturing external sounds via microphones
• Processing and routing them safely into the earcups
• Limiting their volume to prevent hearing damage
• Allowing the wearer to adjust ambient sound levels
• Maintaining awareness and communication in noisy environments

Essentially, RAL makes it feel like you’re not wearing hearing protection - while still protecting you.

x-grip technology

The specially formulated polyurethane foam developed in-house for uvex earplugs creates a hygienic sealed surface and improves the pressure on the ear canal to ensure a comfortable wearing experience. Silicone free, the x-shaped grip technology means there is less material at the entrance of the ear canal reducing contact pressure while being fully closed. X-grip technology also helps with easy plug removal.

x-cap technology

The foam pads are made of two components, so the earplugs do not move when worn. The oval form mimics the entrance to the ear canal, guaranteeing extremely high wearer comfort. uvex banded ear protectors in lightweight construction have a total weight of just 8 grams.
