Heckel MACASPHALT lace-up boot S3 FO HI HRO
Article number: 62763
- MACSOLE® ASPHALT rubber sole provides excellent anti-slip properties on slippery and sloping roadsides
- Smooth flat tread pattern to avoid tread marks
- Midsole core for optimal shock absorption
- Heat resistance tested at +300°C (HRO)
- Water-resistant full-grain leather upper
Heckel MACASPHALT – ideal for road surfacing work
The Heckel MACASPHALT safety boot is ideal for those working in extreme conditions faced by highway maintenance and road construction workers. Unlike other outdoor industries where safety footwear with a deep tread is recommended to cope with muddy and steep terrain, working with new roadsurfaces requires an outsole with a smoother profile to avoid leaving marks in the material. The MACASPHALT MACSOLE® rubber sole is resistant to contact heat up to 300°C (HRO) and provides good insulation to heat (HI certified). This means the temperature inside the boot does not increase by more than 22°C when subjected to a temperature of 150°C for 30 minutes.
General features
- Full-grain leather upper for resistance to water and chemical penetration
- EN ISO 20345:2022 rating: S3 FO HI HRO
- Non-marking sole profile avoids leaving marks in the surface, while still providing the necessary grip
- MACSOLE® ASPHALT rubber sole for resistance to contact heat up to 300°C (HRO standard)
- Stainless steel penetration-resistant midsole
- Colour: black
- Available in sizes: 38 to 50 (5 to 14.5)
- Weight (at size 42): 830 grams
Safety features
- Protection class S3 in accordance with EN ISO 20345:2022 + A1:2024
- Heat resistance tested at +300°C (HRO)
- Heat insulation tested at +150°C (HI) and at +250°C (HI-3 according to standard DIN EN ISO 20349-1 passed, not certifiable)
- Anti-slip properties on slippery and sloping roadsides
- Anti-perforation steel midsole provides penetration resistance
- Integrated heel support to help prevent ankle twisting
- PU layer for improved shock and vibration absorption over the entire surface of the foot
- Reflective tape for increased visibility and safety when working at night
Comfort features
- Reduced number of seams and stitches to minimise potential pressure points which can cause blisters
- Quick-drying 3D mesh lining for excellent breathability
- Hygienic insole with superior abrasion resistance and high moisture absorption
- Aluminised insole for improved thermal insulation
- Padded tongue with gusset for protection against dirt and debris entering the boot
- Flexible and compact foam upper padding for better comfort and protection around malleolus and Achille’s tendon zones
