Customer Returns Policy
1. Our Commitment
At uvex Safety UK Ltd, we aim to ensure every customer receives products that meet the highest standards of quality and performance. If something isn’t right, we will work with you to resolve it quickly, fairly, and transparently.
2. When Goods Can Be Returned
We may accept returns under the following circumstances:
- Quality concerns - items that may be defective or require technical investigation
- Commercially agreed returns - such as stock cleanses or product exchanges
- Order related issues - incorrect items, excess items, or picking errors
All returns must be authorised before goods are sent back.
3. Conditions for commercial returns
- Unless agreed in advance, uvex is not obliged to accept commercial returns as part of its standard terms and conditions.
- uvex must approve all commercial returns in advance, in writing, with a GRN. Any returned goods received without a valid GRN will not be accepted.
- Where Products are returned in uvex original packaging and in readily re-saleable condition: the credit shall be calculated as the full invoice price of the relevant products less a 10% restocking fee.
- A GRN will only be issued when:
- a list of the proposed products has been provided
- a new purchase order of equal or greater value is received
- the return is approved by an authorised uvex manager
- the Products meet the Conditions below o Product Conditions:
- are undamaged;
- are in standard packs (e.g. packs of 8 prs goggles/10 prs specs etc.) with the exception of footwear which will be accepted in single pairs;
- are within Supplier’s current UK catalogue and carried as standard stock items;
- have shelf lives of more than 12 months (to be reviewed in line with changes to prevailing regulations on product life) and which meet the prevailing regulations with regard to date of manufacture;
- have been purchased less than 12 months prior to the date of the requested Return;
- are not bespoke, custom-manufactured; and
- have not been ordered as part of a bulk purchase price deal.
- uvex reserves the right to inspect proposed returns at customer’s premises prior to acceptance.
- The total value of returned Products in a year must not exceed 10% of total sales. Should returns exceed this value, uvex reserve the right to decline additional Returns or set a higher restocking fee.
- Where Products are NOT returned in uvex’s original packaging or in readily re-saleable condition, Products will be returned at the Customer’s expense or an additional repackaging fee will be applied:
- Customer will pay the freight and duty (if applicable).
- uvex agrees to promptly handle all return requests and subject to the handling charges as detailed above, fully credit the customer within the customer’s standard payment terms from the date of receipt of returned Products.
- Should returned Products be received by uvex with packaging is not a re-saleable condition, then uvex reserve the right to charge a Repackaging fee of 10% or return the goods to the customer at the customer’s expense of freight and duty (if applicable).
4. Credits & Outcomes
Once goods are received and inspected:
- Approved, resaleable items will be credited in line with the original agreement
- If goods are not resaleable, we will notify you and request instruction to:
- Return the goods to you, or
- Dispose of them securely
For quality investigations:
- If a product is confirmed faulty, a credit will be issued or goods returned/disposed of as instructed
- If a product is within specification, no credit will be issued and goods may be returned or disposed of at your request
