Global personal protective equipment (PPE) manufacturer uvex has joined forces with Greenfingers, a small charity that supports children in hospices and their families by designing and creating wonderful outdoor spaces for their enjoyment.
uvex is supporting the charity with both a cash donation and by supplying a range of safety gloves and other PPE to those working on the gardens, to help construct them safely.
So far, Greenfingers has created more than 50 gardens for life limited children and their families who spend time in hospices across the UK. Their magical and inspiring gardens offer outdoor spaces where the children and their families can have fun and enjoy stimulation, relaxation and respite as well as a special place in which precious family memories can be created.
Linda Petrons, Head of Fundraising & Communications at Greenfingers Charity, said: “We are delighted that uvex has chosen Greenfingers to benefit from their support. With a waiting list of more hospices that need our help, the money raised really will help to make a difference to so many children and their families and the donations of these special gloves will help to ensure the safety of all those who help to create Greenfingers gardens.”
Clair Weston, Marketing Manager at uvex, said: “uvex are proud to partner with Greenfingers Charity as part of our current Hand Protection Campaign. We hope that our contribution will help support the vital work they do.”
